Environmental Health is the branch of public health that protects against environmental hazards that can affect ecological balances, and environmental quality, leading to adverse human health. The CHEER conference series will offer a timely opportunity for knowledge exchange among medical professionals, environmental scientists of various disciplines and policymakers to advance the knowledge for the protection of the environment and human health. Participants will deliberate on state-of-the-art human diseases caused by environmental pollution, ecological and human health risk assessments, advanced remediation technologies, environmental management strategies, environmental health education, and relevant political issues.

Local and overseas experts from different sectors, including academicians and representatives from government departments, green groups, professional organizations, NGOs, environmental consultancies, medical professionals, and investors, will be gathered to solicit scientific and technical inputs and political feedback. It is hoped to facilitate the development of a holistic strategy that fists government needs and industrial interests in environmental health issues in Hong Kong and other parts of the world. The information gathered at this conference will serve as valuable references for developing sustainable and practical solutions to the health problems associated with environmental issues.
